Rain Gauge: Rain Log (“Rain Gauge”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) helps you view recent rainfall estimates, forecasts, saved locations, manual rain gauge readings, rainfall history, widgets, and rainfall exports.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, how it is handled, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect or Use

Location Information

Rain Gauge uses location information to estimate recent rainfall and provide forecasts for places you track.

You may provide location information in two ways:

• By choosing “Use Current Location” and granting iOS When In Use location permission.
• By searching for and saving a place manually.

Saved location information may include a location name, city, region, country, coordinates, time zone, tracking type, weekly rainfall goal, and whether the location is your primary location.

Rain Gauge requests location permission only after you choose to use your current location. You can deny location permission and still use manual place search.

Rainfall and Weather Information

Rain Gauge uses weather-based rainfall estimates and forecast data for your saved locations. Weather data may include recent rainfall, forecast rainfall, precipitation chance, update time, and related weather information needed to display rainfall history and guidance.

Rainfall estimates may differ from measurements taken by a physical rain gauge.

Manual Rain Gauge Readings

If you enter physical rain gauge readings, the app may store:

• Location
• Date and time
• Rainfall amount
• Replacement mode, such as Replace Estimate, Keep Both, or Adjusted
