Light Meter is designed as a private, on-device metering tool. The app uses your iPhone camera to estimate scene brightness and calculate exposure recommendations.
Light Meter does not collect, store, or share:
Light Meter requests camera access only to measure light from the live camera preview.
Camera data is processed for metering while you use the app. The app does not save photos, record videos, upload camera frames, or store camera preview images.
If you deny camera permission, Light Meter cannot perform camera-based metering. You can change camera permission at any time in iOS Settings.
When you use Lock Reading, Light Meter may save recent exposure references locally on your device.
Saved recent readings may include:
