Rownest is a local, offline crochet pattern reader and row counter. This Privacy Policy explains how Rownest handles information when you use the app.

Summary

Rownest does not collect, transmit to us, sell, rent, or share your personal information. The app has no account system, advertising, analytics SDKs, tracking, or developer-operated cloud service.

Your imported patterns, project details, reading position, counter history, markers, and app preferences are stored locally on your iPhone for the app to work.

Information stored on your device

When you use Rownest, the app may store the following information in its private local storage on your device:

• Pattern files that you explicitly import, including PDF, JPG, PNG, and HEIC files.
• Project information that you create, such as a project title, pattern type, notes, and optional crafting details.
• Reading and counting progress, including the current round, markers, history, PDF page, zoom level, and image position.
• App preferences, such as haptic feedback, keep-screen-awake, and introduction settings.

This information is not sent to Rownest or to a developer-operated server.

Photos and files you choose to import

Rownest accesses a photo or file only when you choose it through the system photo picker or file picker. The selected pattern is copied into Rownest’s private app storage so it remains available for reading and progress restoration. Rownest does not scan your photo library or browse files that you have not selected.

Purchases

Rownest offers an optional one-time Lifetime purchase through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the transaction. Rownest uses StoreKit only to check whether the Lifetime entitlement is active; it does not receive or store your payment card, billing address, or other payment credentials.

Apple’s handling of purchase-related information is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.

No tracking, advertising, or analytics

Rownest does not:

• Track you across apps or websites.
